As your mail moves through electronic sorting equipment at the post office, the PLANET code we insert on your mail is scanned, and that information is sent to us, where we process the data and give you easy to read powerful reports on the delivery of your mail.

Mail Tracker uses PLANET codes, a barcode technology developed by the Postal Service that allows mailers to print an additional barcode on a mail piece that provides the Postal Service with tracking information on that piece. Every time a mail piece goes through a barcode sorter, the PLANET code is read and the whereabouts of that piece is captured. That same data is transmitted to Mail Tracker. We compile the data and provide you with easy to read, easy to use data, generally within a couple of hours of the scan!

If for any reason your files DO NOT meet our specifications, you will receive an email stating the issue with the file(s) and how to fix it. If you submit files incorrectly a second time, we will (with your permission) correct the files and your order will incur a FILE CORRECTION FEE (minimum $10).
